Genesis 15 is a big chapter in the overall narrative of Genesis and the Bible as a whole. It is the home of the Abrahamic Covenant – where God formalizes his promises to the patriarch and lets him know He can be trusted to follow through on them. But it’s also a chapter wherein we see that no matter how many times God repeats that He has promised these things to Abram and that there is no reason He should not believe Him. But yet Abram is not convinced — and that is where chapter 16 comes in.
Genesis 16 is mentioned previously in our podcast in Tale #36. You can find that here.
